Yi Zhang

Hi there, my name is Yi Zhang. I came from the North of China. I have been here for about 2.5 years. I am studying Community Welfare at the moment. I used to learn Fine Arts in China. The reason why I came to Australia is to further educate myself, experience a different lifestyle and to challenge myself. After I came here, I realised that I love it here. I have learned lots of skills and knowledge. I have been volunteering in St. Vincent Hospital since I came here and I am so pleased when people say ‘Thanks’ to me. I am working as a casual employee in Coles. I am earning money for myself, which I am happy about. I can work hard to buy anything I want. I can have my own pet. I can decide the life I want.

My further plan is to complete a degree in psychology, and hopefully I can be a psychologist or counsellor.  I want to have my life here. I will buy my own townhouse and have lots of pets in my house. I will work hard from Monday to Friday, but I will enjoy weekends delights with my friends and husband.
