Donna Likigan

My name is Donna Likigan. I am from a small town called Sagada up northern part of the Philippines. The Philippines is mainly group of islands so there are lots of beaches, sun and all sorts but where I’m from, is mostly mountains, ravines, rivers, etc. Having these environment growing up made me a nature enthusiast, loving mountain climbing, trekking, hiking, camping and swimming…definitely not on sea-salt water …..fresh water that is.

I’m here in Melbourne to study. I forever dreamt of working in a big organisation like the United Nations and i thought maybe I’m gonna commence that dream by taking up Diploma in Community Welfare here in Australia. I’d be finishing the course soon and hopefully at par with my degree in Nursing, I’d be able to extend my helping hand to those in need around the world. It’s a big dream, i know, but i got to start it… start from scratch, working part time in a hotel, a pub work to support my everyday needs. I’m happy with it so here I am living and loving Melbourne!
